I figured I needed to write more about the application itself.
The software is 2 parts, one that is for the mobile phone (Windows Mobile),
and one for the PC.
The pc software sits and listens for commands from the mobile phone.
When it recives a command it applies it to winamp.
Where can I download it?
http://stigatle.net/uploads/blueamp/setup.exe
http://stigatle.net/uploads/blueamp/Blueamp_winmobile.zip
What does it support?
- change song, pause, play etc
- Volume up\down
- View current track name
- start winamp if not running.
For the next version:
- "Get song (sends current song to phone automaticly).
- Various bug fixes.
Future versions:
- Other mediaplayers by request
- Wlan
How did it all start?
I was just sick and tired of being on my bed, with the music on in my livingroom,
and then had to either remote desktop into my main computer, or walk in there
to change song or turn it off etc.
So I figured I could write a simple but usefull software for my phone.
Why is it free?
Because i love free software. And I wanted to give something back.
Why Bluetooth?
Because it does not drain the battery like wlan does.
(But I am planning on supporting wlan too).
Where can I get the Source Code?
I'm sorry, but the app is closed source as of now.
Don't know what I'll do about that in the future yet.
